What happened to my baby?

Baby acne is a very common condition with newborns. This can begin when a baby is as little as a few weeks old. Baby acne appears more in baby boys than in baby girls. And acne in teenage boys is more severe than with teenage girls. And later in adulthood, women are affected more by acne than men. This has a lot to do with the hormonal changes we all go through within our bodies. But don't get alarmed. Your baby's acne will usually clear up within several weeks.

Newborn baby acne? Not as harmful as it seems

You have just come home from the hospital. Everyone is crooning over your baby and calls her a beautiful angel. After everyone has left you alone, you look at your sleeping baby and see slight reddish scars on her cheeks. You figure it could be because everyone has been kissing the baby's cheeks. Well, if the reddish pigmentation refuses to go away the next day then you are looking at something known in medical circles as "Newborn Baby Acne".
